What are you proudest of accomplishing while at Community Education? “Learning to organize groups of kids and or people to be a productive group.”
After working at Community Education, you were a middle school teacher for six years. How did working at Community Education prepare you for the rest of your career?
“Community Education allowed me to be a leader early on in life. By being entrusted with the responsibilities of other staff and kids, I quickly learned to structure a large group in a most productive and positive way for everyone involved. The directors of the camps taught me how to communicate with parents on a positive level, how to handle staff differences, and how to listen to kids no matter how large or small the concern was.”
Anything else you would like to share? “Bowling Green is so fortunate to have a program like community ed. Not only did I learn so much, but I also met many friends that I worked with through the summer camps and school programs. It was one of the best jobs I could be a part of.”
