Working with children from diverse backgrounds in Community Education programs while a student at WKU presented its share of challenges to Brad Moore. Moore had to learn to navigate through varying attitudes, strengths, and weaknesses, determining the best approach to handle situations based on each child’s unique personality and needs. It was a complex task at times.
“My proudest accomplishment was positively impacting the lives of children who may not have the best home life. We achieved this by providing them with after-school and all-day programs they looked forward to attending. This helped create a supportive environment for these young individuals, offering them opportunities for growth and development.”
Moore worked in Before and After school programs from 2005-2008.
The experience Moore gained at Community Education proved invaluable in shaping his career. “It taught me patience and teamwork. These principles have stayed with me and have been instrumental in my journey to becoming a successful business owner.”
After his time at Community Education, Moore relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, where he initially worked in an environmental laboratory. He subsequently transitioned into the field of environmental consulting. Today, he is the Owner/President of two successful companies, one a plumbing and water restoration company and the other an environmental services company, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Originally from South Carrollton in Muhlenberg County, Moore graduated from WKU in 2008. Moore and his wife, Beth, have a son, Maddux.
As Moore says, “Teamwork does make the dream work.” The patience he honed at Community Education has helped in his professional success.
